Gracie McGraw Stuns With Emotional “My Buddy” Performance at Carnegie Hall
Gracie McGraw, the eldest daughter of country power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, is proving that musical talent runs deep in the family.
Back in April, Gracie took the stage at the prestigious Carnegie Hall as part of the live theatrical event “American Heart in WWI: A Carnegie Hall Tribute.” The event, set to air on PBS this Veterans Day (Nov. 11), brings to life the American story during World War I through music, archival film, and dramatic narration.
Gracie’s standout moment came with her heartfelt rendition of “My Buddy,” a 1922 jazz standard by Gus Kahn. Her tender, emotionally rich performance offered a new interpretation of the classic, and earned praise not only from the audience—but from her parents, who were in attendance.
According to People, Faith Hill was visibly moved to tears, and both she and McGraw gave their daughter a standing ovation at the curtain call.
On Instagram, Gracie shared behind-the-scenes shots with her castmates, including a group huddle before the show. Captioning the photo with “Check us out!!!,” she gave followers a glimpse into the camaraderie behind the powerful production.
As Gracie continues carving out her own path—distinct yet inspired by her parents’ musical legacy—it’s clear the McGraw family’s artistic flame burns brightly in the next generation.
Stay tuned to PBS on Veterans Day to witness the full performance and honor the memory of those who served.
